DJ Gym Birmingham has structured DJ lessons and DJ courses for all ages and experience levels. Our 1-2-1 DJ lessons for kids are really popular as it’s a great way for children to learn about music in a modern way and develop new skills, not only musically but also socially. Some of our students even go on to DJing at events a children’s parties! Our youngest students to date have been six years old, can you beat that?

DJ Gym works with London Sound Academy, touted as the world’s number one provider of DJ courses. Our DJ courses are tried and tested and adaptable for any age, learning ability or disability. We actively encourage equality in learning and our studios are open to everyone to enrol.

All DJ gym tutors are DBS checked, that’s the modern version of the CRB check and parents are welcome to either leave their child at the studio for the duration of the lesson or watch the lesson throughout. Children are welcome to take the class with a friend or relative making it one of the best days out in Birmingham.

Students don’t need any prior musical knowledge or skills to enrol, neither do they need any equipment at home as they can practice their skills in our fully equipped DJ studio! MUSIC PRODUCTION LESSONS AND COURSES FOR CHILDREN AT DJ GYM BIRMINGHAM

Not only do we offer excellent DJ tuition for kids of all ages but we also offer music production courses on Logic or Ableton. This course shows them how to compose their own music from scratch, and teaches them all about music theory for computer musicians. If your child has some previous music experience, like being able to play the piano, then they will greatly benefit from electronic music composition.

THE BENEFITS

We find the kids DJ lessons and production lessons really help kick-start a love of learning in all our underage DJs. The one to one lessons really help because we can coach them on a personal level, taking into account their own learning style and making sure they get 100% of their tutor’s attention. It’s well known that music education increases the connection between left and right hemispheres of the brain and adds to a child’s overall intelligence, coordination, language and problem solving skills.
