Cancellations, refunds & rescheduling
Once you buy a lesson or a course you'll receive an order confirmation by email. All courses, packages, and gift voucher products include a £40 non-refundable booking fee and a non-refundable transaction fee. Single practice sessions and lessons include a £10 non-refundable booking fee and a non-refundable transaction fee. After purchase of a product you have a fourteen day cooling off period to change your mind and obtain a refund minus the non-refundable booking fee and transaction fees, as long as you contact us within fourteen days of purchase and at least 48 hours before the commencement of your booking. To obtain a refund you need to email us within the time window described, cancelling a booking online via the booking system does not constitute a refund request. If you cancel a booking through the booking system it does not automatically refund you and credit will be held on your account. Refund requests must be emailed to us. Once your course begins we cannot offer a refund or partial refund. All courses are valid for 364 days before they expire. If you fail to attend your lessons for any reason you will lose the lessons you’ve paid for. If you wish to reschedule a standard two-hour booking for any reason you need to give us 48 hours notice by email or reschedule using the online booking system, as long as you do that at least 48 hours before the start time of the booking. If you need to reschedule a four, six or eight-hour booking you must give us one weeks notice. This allows us to fill the time slots and make use of our expensive studio. You will need to either reschedule using the booking system or contact to give us notice by e-mail (please e-mail the academy directly and not your tutors' personal e-mail address or social media accounts.) If you are late for your lesson you will lose that time which you have paid for. If you are trying to cancel or reschedule a booking make sure you realise that each two-hour lesson is a booking on its own and you will need to cancel or reschedule all of them as required individually. On occasion, our tutors may we unwell and we reserve the right to cancel any lesson at anytime and rebook it at a later date or swap for a different tutor. These terms also apply to online and in-person lessons all the same.
Terms and Conditions for booking limited capacity group courses are as follows: Once you purchase a place on a limited capacity group course you will have a fourteen day cooling-off period in which to change your mind and obtain a full refund minus a £100 non-refundable booking fee and non-refundable transaction fee as long as the course doesn't start within fourteen days. If the course starts within fourteen days a refund is not possible because it's a limited capacity course. Please be aware that if we don't manage to sell the minimum number of places for a group course we may delay the start date of the course or cancel the course entirely, in which case a refund will be offered. In the event that you can’t make a class within a group course please just email the studio rather than call. If you miss a class you will not be able to retake that class and instead, we encourage you to book one-to-one lessons to catch up or revise the course notes.
When booking online lessons please be aware that you need a strong stable internet connection and your computers and software should be working correctly. If your systems fail, we cannot rebook your lessons. Please make sure your equipment and connection is working perfectly for online lessons. Online lessons are scheduled in UK time (GMT).
Please also be aware that all our student materials, notes, drawings, presentations, videos and files are subject to copyright. You are permitted to share or publish any course materials or confidential communications.
Please note that from time to time we may relocate our studios within London at our discretion, normally to improve the facilities. If we do move our studios you will be notified that the address of your lesson has changed so please take note of the new address and attend the correct location. No refunds are issued for any inconvenience caused by a change of location or a location becoming no longer available. When you buy a course with us you are buying a number of hours to be used in our London studios, where ever those studios may be within London at the time of redeeming your lessons.
Occasionally, we have been the victim of fraudulent claims and fraudulent card payments. In the case of fraud, we will chase any debt in the courts. This process will incur a charge of the disputed amount along with any legal costs.
When in the studio please follow the rules and respect the equipment. Clients will be held responsible for any damage caused by negligent behaviour and will be billed for any repairs.

Graduation
Once you complete the curriculum in the LSA Pro DJ Course (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Levels) or the LSA Pro Producer Course, Elite DJ Course, Vinyl DJ Course or Mixing and Mastering Course you will receive a certificate. If you do not within two days, please email our office for assistance. It's important to realise that completing the standard amount of lessons may not be enough to gain your certificate, if you've missed classes, didn't practice or just learn at a slower pace, you may need to book additional lessons to complete the curriculum. Your tutors will keep you updated with your progress and you can contact our team for an update on your progress by email. If you have completed the minimum requirement in terms of courses, when you graduate and receive your certification, you will also be given instructions to join our LSA alumni community group. We organise many opportunities for our alumni, including DJ gigs at prestigious venues like Ministry of Sound. You must have completed a minimum of three courses with DJ Gym or LSA to access graduate benefits. DJ gigs are not paid and are organised to give students an experience playing in a real club and a way to network in the industry. DJs will be expected to help promote the events and be professional at all times. We reserve the right to refuse gigs to students who do not conduct themselves professionally. You'll also find many other opportunities in the group so we hope you enjoy! UPDATE *Please note that from Spring 2026, we will introduce a new Graduate DJ Course to be taken after the Advanced level, which will become a requirement to access LSA DJ gigs. If you complete Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced DJ Courses before January 2026 you will still qualify for LSA DJ gigs. After January 2026 you will need to have completed Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and the new Graduate DJ Course to qualify for LSA DJ gigs. If you have any questions about the process, please reach out to our friendly team.
